If anyone deserved to go to space it should have been David Bowie...but he died a couple years before civilian space voyages. Damn, I bet if anyone would have appreciated going to space it would have been David Bowie...I just feel sad he never got to do it, when it became a possibility not so long after his death.

I just know he had some kind of space related songs, and so it just makes me sad he didn't get to venture outside the planet before he died, because he probably would have really loved it. But live on space man, in your music at least.

Well could be, but still at that point not like David Bowie can experience anything anymore.

Well, I've written short storys about rape and murder; I've painted pictures of people being mutilated.
It's not something I'd actually do, I don't have fantasies about killing people.
What I mean is that art is different from reality.
And I don't see Bowie wanting to go to space.

Maybe not, but I guess mostly I'd feel he would have really appreciated it if he did even if he didn't like it he still would have come up with something cool to say about it.

I'm not a big Bowie fan & haven't listened to him that much, just what I would hear on the radio. I thought his space songs were metaphors for being high kinda like how I was sometimes referred to as a space cadet when I was a kid because of daydreaming due to my ADD.
