Yep, we need spaces where we can be ourselves and be accepted. We also need a better-organized autistic rights movement to push for acceptance in the world at large.
Luckily for you, you live in the U.K., where the autistic community is better-organized than anywhere else in the world, as far as I can tell.
Hopefully you can find some good places to go to, once COVID is finally under control.
