I know it isn't October yet, but I want it to hurry up and be Halloween. Anyone seen this film? Does you have a particular favourite part? I've always enjoyed this film. This is one of my favourite scenes :D :

Is that Mel Brooks? The main guy speaking?

Since were speaking of Halloween: I knew that Mel Brooks directed "Young Frankenstein", but I didnt know that he also did a vampire/Dracula movie. :o

It is Mel Brooks! He's great in this.

I thoroughly recommend you watch this film, it's funny. I haven't seen Young Frankenstein. Is it good?

The name is Dracula: Dead and Loving it.

This is a great scene! I won't share any more scenes in case it spoils it for anyone. Put as a link as it's much better in full screen.

I will definitely look out for Young Frankenstein. I recognised the song reference.

No more spoilers for either movie. I wanna see yours, and you should see mine.

But back in ...like the Eighties...I read a Newsweek article about a then new movie about American suburban yuppie vampires. They prefer to be called "Carpathian Americans". The article showed a picture of a lovely yuppie couple lying in bed, both dead, with gold stakes driven through their hearts. Sounded like an awesomely funny movie. But I havent been able track down the name of the movie since.

That movie is an absolute riot! It's been years since I've seen it, but I still remember it fondly.

Unlike one or two posters here, I'm not a fan of 'comedy horror' and the like, and prefer my horror to be played straight down the middle, so to speak. There was a Hammer Dracula film, which was originally to be called 'Dracula is Dead.....and Well, and Living In London', suggesting that it was to be very much a tongue-in cheek affair. However, it was released as 'The Satanic Rites of Dracula', and thankfully was a proper horror film, though it wasn't brilliant.

Has anyone seen the 'Blacula' films, by the way?
