Secrets to street magician’s magic tricks/stunts

There have been tricks performed by David Blaine, Criss Angel, Dynamo and other street magicians who have done tricks that seem real if not real. Like catching bullets in cups, levitation, over tv screen magic tricks, and unexplainable card tricks. I intended this thread for us to share how (or share opinions) of the secrets behind how the tricks are done. I just wouldn’t recommend this thread for those who like to watch magic tricks without knowing the secrets to the tricks.

To start out this thread, this is an old illusion performed by some street magicians

The magician has the spectator hold out their hands and the magician levels them to the right position, he then has them make a fist with just one hand. He then rubs some cigarette ash into his own hand. After the ash is rubbed into his hand, he asks the spectator to open their fist and somehow the ash ends up on their palm that was closed the whole time

The magician really does touch her hand as he positions it to the right height. As he does this he sneakily rubs some ash applied on this finger before the trick into her palm. Then he makes sure she chooses the hand with the ash rubbed on it to use by using the “magicians choice” elimination. Then he completes the rest of the trick from there
