Exactly. Would this option be in accordance to this law? Because that would be the best and least confusing option.

I would anticipate that it is, it's unlikely they've mandated that boys sections and girls sections are also required to the easy solution would just be to remove any gender indicators, which is how toy sections already look in my experience.

Where I live, typically dolls are clustered on one shelf, toy cars on another, but both shelves are labeled "toys" (which also makes seasonal changes easier).

Adding the third gender neutral section seems a little useless and maybe even a bit confusing, not sure exactly what that is supposed to help.

This is what I thought they were trying to make stores do. No ones going to go through the effort to have another aisle of toys, so stores are going to probably just make sure the toys aren't separated by boys or girls in the first place. It's basically just making it inconvenient to separate them.

It is dumb. Social engineering through the legislation process is very troubling. I have no problem with gender neutral toys, nor do I have a problem with gender specific toys.

Pushing a cultural issue through legislation is only going to be counter-productive. You can't force people to adhere to the zeitgeist of any particular era at the barrel of the cultural authoritarians gun. It has to occur in an organic fashion.

Why not just have a "toy department"----and let everybody choose what they want.

There are plenty of girls who wouldn't mind a toy car, frankly.

Legislating this sort of thing is nonsense.

I believe that most board games are "gender-neutral," anyway.
