Yes but sometimes it requires external help.

You can always just disappear and wait till somebody files missing persons.

Yes. Tell the person that you’re sorry and don’t want to waste anymore of their time and say that you want to end the relationship. I know it’s painful. But it’s short term pain and now you can find someone who is perfect for you.

Life can’t be all rainbows and butterflies.its a positive thing in long run, they find someone that’s right for them as maybe you do or maybe you realise that all you need is your independence.

You're actually not stuck in anything. You're not in any contract with this person are you?

You don't owe anybody anything. Its sad but once a relationship has run its course and there is no way of rekindling anything then you just have to walk away.

There is no way to be kind especially if the person still has feelings for you but it's nice to be honest and respectful.

Just tell them that it's not what you want any more and you can't make them happy.
