I am thinking along similar lines.

I think America is too far gone, its in a decline and will go off the cliff into authoritarian socialism. The people have been demoralized and don't care about their freedom. They will believe any nonsense the media "experts" tells them to believe and will tolerate any intrusion into their lives by the government kleptocracy. America will never be great again but it was good while it lasted.
Hi. I'm from a European country that has a lot of spcoalist institutions, like socialized healthcare, which the US don't have.
They're by and large working quite well, in the sense of: as intended. From over here, the US look like the neolibaral nightmare scenario the actual communists, back when communism was still a thing, were dewcribing it as.
I wonder what you mean by "socialism", because neither my country nor yours seem anywhere close to the danger of socialism, even thpugh my country is technically a lot closer to it than yours.
Do you just mean any socialized systems, like European healthcare or unemployment and housing schemes, or do you mean something else entirely - I mean, what we don't have is a lot of the CRT and Gender theory academia, but we also don't call that socialism, but I kbow Americans do that...

Trump's political power remains strong, and unquestioned in the GOP. But at the same time his businesses are collapsing, and the law is closing in on him. So its a neck and neck race between his rising, and sinking, fortunes to the finishline of the 2024 election.
Will he take the oath of office? Or will he being wearing an orange jumpsuit by January 2025?
Also his physical and mental health may give out by then. Or not.
The race is on.

Trump is tearing the right apart, and until the people move on they will not pull together and the Dems will stay in power. They are behaving identically to a section of the left here in the UK over Jeremy Corbyn who had a devoted following as challenger, lost badly, but his supporters continue to cheer for him and his policies meaning the opposition are divided and until some of them get over it they are simply helping the Conservatives hold on to power.
The most dedicated Trump fans who cannot move on are doing more to put and keep the Dems in power than many Dem supporters
