Do you want to know what gene(s) caused your autism?

I personally always wonder what specific gene(s) I have that caused me to develop autism + some of the comorbids I have. Both of my parents have autism/many autistic traits, so I am also interested in if I ended up with one parents ASD-linked gene or both, since I have traits both of them have + comorbids one or the other doesn't have.

I just would find it super interesting to know these things, and I don't even want to know them for any reason (like concerns for my offspring or something) other than pure curiosity.

I thought that was just vaccines and a lack of Jesus.

If you are willing to pay there is also some dr`s although its quite expensive maybe $2-3k or more, that specialises in analysing for autistic genes in patents for a fee & giving feedback on their findings.

Science is working on it ...if haphazardly. Its not the Apollo Program. But theyre working on it.

They probably arent going find one specific gene, on one specific chromosome, that is the one and only cause of autism.

But they already found that certain variants of certain genes "correlate to autism". Posts have been about it here. Different types of autism are going to be found to correlate to different kinds of genetic and epigenetic causes.

Note: SPARK does not commit to giving you a personal genetic report. From their website FAQ:

I gave them my DNA sample in August 2020. No news for me.

The website lists "over 200 genes and segments of chromosomes, known as copy number variants (CNVs), that are related to autism." But, that's not that to get Autism you need all of those genetic changes but rather any one of them. Or not. I think this means the Autism Spectrum might be very complicated.

Personally, I don't see how Science can properly study Autism until it can distinguish those 200+ varieties of it to see what characterizes each.

Also, I think that's why I'd like to know what gene(s) caused my autism, because it'd be interesting to just know what the genes do, and also to look out for more information about them and their role in ASD + the characteristics people figure out that "type" of autism has.

I would venture to guess that it's more likely there are "many autisms," rather than "one autism."

Because inheritance doesn't look like it in my case. I'm not one of those people who have many ND relatives.
Maybe it is a mutation :lol: or not.

Nor did known pre-natal causes.
Nor did known while birthing causes.

Nor did known outsides causes.
Vaccines? I was shot too late. I may not have it as many as the US standard gets.
Trauma? I wish. There's no one else around my own age group even and many had it worse.

Well both my parents are neurotypical, but have managed to produce 2 emotionally insecure Aspies. My half-sister is 100% neurotypical so I don't think the autism has come from my dad's side, it must have come from my mum's side. My mum has a sister with (undiagnosed) autism but her child is neurotypical.

In all fairness, me and my brother should both be neurotypicals and my aunt's child should be autistic. But no, it can't work like that can it. It has to be ME cursed with this f*****g s**t.

I'm curious about where it came from in my case, too. I know it's familial and my parents + some of their relatives have it/have traits, but I wanna know which ancestor(s) had it first and how long those gene(s) have been in my family.
