Having been hearing that cases in our country (the UK) have jumped to over 50,000 and deaths reported to be over 200, there seems now there could be the possibility of a lock down during winter because of the virus along with other viruses and other problems. Also a plus mutation of the delta variant has appeared which now seems worrying to me. I do find it hard to accept that we have to ''learn to live with this virus'' having to live with the ever present high numbers of people falling ill and dying every day even though I know that people die every day anyway from different things (car crashes, heart attacks, old age, etc) all the time even when there is no pandemic going on. It just seems right now like things will never get any better despite the vaccines we have been given. I now know that nearly 50% of the globe has been vaccinated (with at least one dose) but even if we get to 100%, probably 20% of the globe will still not have had their second doses or boosters.
