Alternatives to 9-5?

What are the other options, nights? 4 on 4 off? shifts? Anything else?

I liked nights when I done them. It depends on the hours though. Nights have a tendancy to be 12 hours long in mane places.

I did nights for a few years. They're OK but not for long periods of time.

I had one manager who said that the night shift is only good for two types of people: drug addicts and thieves. He was about accurate for 50% of our workforce.

Get a remote job with a company that values Asynchronous communication (they don't have many meetings at set times at least not on a regular basis.)

@blackomen

How do I go about asking a company if they value Asynchronous communication?

Another option is to start a home business. For example, I'm working on a business of raising feeder insects, which just requires a good setup for them to live in and then just checking on them occasionally and replacing food or whatever. And once I finally have larva, I'll start selling them online.
