I seem to say whatever is on my mind? I think so I says it?

I would share my values and beliefs with someone I’ve only known 5 minutes.

What are the social rules to keep myself safe and precautions?

How do I change myself from giving away too much personal information?

And am I supposed to talk about?

I try to keep my mouth shut.

My bride would probably say I'm not as good at that as she would like.

everybody has their own idea. there's impersonal information. personal information. 'sensitive' information. and then after that there's maybe 'top secret' information. its about who has 'clearance.' It's a need to know thing. It's a subjective choice what you decide to disclose to somebody.

I refrain from being around people. Works like a charm!

Oh, double masking and social distance helps too when I absolutely need to leave the house.

You said many things in your first post. But my response is to the title of this thread: "What are your precautions when you are around people?" My response is what I personally try to do to have fewer problems when I talk to other people--a solution for you might be different.

But I will note you specifically said "precautions". It sounds like you wish to be more careful.

I often suspect I have overshared after I have a conversation - I'm a devil for going over conversations over and over after they've finished and trying to work out where I have failed to come across as 'normal'.

As a precaution to this I generally don't talk much.

I will rehearse conversations I know I'm going to have, try to pre-empt likely questions and work out how I might answer, where the boundaries might be.

In public I often wear earphones (even if I'm not listening to anything) because it stops strangers surprising me with talk.
