Dont think so....they limit you to only having 2000 in cash at all times under SSI

No, Social Security does not allow it.

You are given a limited amount of money per month.

I'm on SSI and am given about $500 at the beginning of the month.

I heard of some people on SSI playing the stock-market & making other investments but that money was officially listed under the name/account of a family member or their romantic partner so the Social Security Administration would not consider it an asset for the disabled.

I don’t understand why people cannot invest money, they are allow to work. I understand that you cannot have over 2,000, people maynot make $500 in investment or if they do make alot of money, they can move the money so the SSA people won’t find out. In the 90s, my mom put my SSI money in a joint account & another account with only her name, so I used to have around $60,000. I wish I had someone to help me invest money.
