Inmates at a jail in Oklahoma were subjected to cruel and inhumane punishment when they were forced into stress positions while listening to “Baby Shark” on repeat for hours, according to a lawsuit filed this week.

The federal civil rights lawsuit also alleged excessive force, describing the discipline tactics as “torture events.”

It was filed on Tuesday in the Western District of Oklahoma on behalf of Ja’Lee Foreman Jr., Daniel Hedrick, Joseph Mitchell and John Basco, who were pre-trial detainees at the Oklahoma County jail in late 2019.

I think this is the offending video which is on loop

Here in the UK there was a complaint of guards forcing prisoners to worship at a shrine of Scooby Doo.

Nothing came of that complaint buts it's not to say it can't happen. Prisoners can't exactly document evidence of abuse on the count of them not having any devices to document evidence with and being captive audiences.

I've at times seen guards go a little to far with their jokes.

I remember that story being circulated at least a year ago.

Were they also getting tasered or water-boarded?

I've never heard of Baby Shark but I gave it a go.

You are right, it happened in 2019 but the litigation has just been filed

I am waiting to see the court proceedings where the judge asks the prosecution to play the offending loop to those in attendance

I remember enduring similar torture at Disneyland once.

It's amazing, I have never been able to get that tune out of my head since my first trip to Disney Anaheim in 1980. Literally some type of CIA brain plant.
