Your day at work?
7am: Arrive.
8am: finish sweeping floor but lorry drives over my dust piles.
9am: have to sort through wet metal (about 2 tons worth) by hand with the bosses son.
9:30am: Drive around aimlessly in forklift being told I can't park or put anything in all but a tiny corner of the workshop.
10am: Antagonise the bosses son and tell him his dogs are ugly. He said he'll drop kick my cat off a multistorey car park.....I told him I'll kick his dogs face off and eat it.
11 to 1: We complain about how boring cutting angles are. He shows me his wallet, I show him mine. I take his money, he takes mine, we return the money to each others wallets for some reason. He shows me his driving licence, I told him he looks like a drug addict in his picture and he agrees.
1 to 5:30pm will consist of cutting the rest of the angle. He wants to talk about apprenticeships more with me which is just as well considering how accident prone he is. I'm hoping for the draftsman to come out before the end of the day as we both like mutually annoying each other.
05:45 - Arrive at office. Prepare coffee. Eat bagel (or similar)
06:00 - Check remote data. Answer correspondence.
08:00 - 1st break. Make rounds. Greet co-workers. Observe activities.
08:15 - Morning meeting. Review reports. Make suggestions.
10:00 - Lunch (Sinagang na Baboy at Kanin).
11:00 - Check remote data. Draft diagrams.
13:00 - 2nd break. Yawn. Stretch. Scratch.
13:15 - Finish diagrams. Check remote data. Write report. Include diagrams.
15:00 - Stop working. Organize desk and office.
15:15 - Leave office.
5:31am: walk 20 feet to my work computer
5:32am to 3:00pm: eat breakfast, write code, go to meetings, take cigarette breaks, have lunch
You have to get up at 5:30? I thought my wake up time was bad but that sounds horrific.
I'm a morning person. I'm usually up by 5:00am, without an alarm.

Sounds very civilised. Perhaps too civilised for my liking. Instead of greeting them in the mornings, have you considered calling co-workers gaunt meth heads instead? Well educated people in such a white collar and technical establishment love being called crude and insulting names first thing in the morning *sarcasm obviously*
Please don't tell me you have these things called "rules" and company "policies" that prevents such shameless name calling? My workshop would be a lost cause without the daily round of insults.
Everyone seems to have longer breaks than me too. I'm gutted.
