It gets me when people say that we're all supposed to like cats. I really don't care about cats either way either.
I get what you mean. I also feel much the same about people talking about their children.
I don't expect anyone to like my dogs. I honestly don't want other people interacting with my dogs unless I've given permission. I'm definitely a "proud dog owner", but I'm a very private person and only share pet photos with those in my inner circle. These people typically request photos of my animals as they know I regard my pets as my children.
