As much as I can't stand Beto, looks like he's getting my vote.

Welp, looks like you're stuck with Abbot for another 4 years then, Beto ain't getting elected dog catcher statewide in Texas.

You’re probably right. The Dems should have gone with one of the Castro twins.

With the voter suppression laws in effect, Beto would have to win over conservative voters who are disenchanted with Abbott over his handling of the power grid crisis.

But there aren’t enough educated white people in Texas to propel the Dems to victory. POC have been practically disenfranchised, and uneducated whites only know about Beto wearing a dress on one of Foss’s (the band he was in) album covers and his “hell yeah, I’m coming for your guns” remark. They think Abbott is the only way to keep Texas from “becoming California”.

Let's also not forget the fact Greg Abbott still believes the 2020 election was rigged to this day.

And there’s the power grid, the abortion ban, the anti-dick pic law (he actually signed such a law), his refusal to legalize marijuana (thus perpetuating the war on blacks—er, drugs), blaming migrants and blacks for Covid, the list goes on.

No way Newsom or Hochul would do these things.

Wow! (especially regarding the anti-dick pic law) 8O

IMO, Abbott could easily be a target for a recall if he does win reelection.
