Hi I'm Dua. I suffer from anxiety and have a lot of issues with my autism. I've not got any friends and I recently lost my job so struggling a bit.

Yeah I'll be 25 next February. Just wish life was a bit better than it is currently.

What country are you from? In America, blatantly saying that you can't do certain job because of your diagnosis is a discrimination against disabilities.

Besides, it is unfair to assume you can't handle money simply because you are autistic. Autism affects social skills *not* money skills. I think the assumption your boss made was that autistic people are less intelligent. But the very definition of high functioning autistic is that their intelligence is average or above. Yes some of them have some struggles but not all. So its unfair to assume you can't handle money simply because you are autistic.

Did you get this job through something like Vocational Rehab?

Welcome, Dua! Jobs are hard. Anxiety and ASD don't make them any easier.
But you might find your next chapter is better than you last.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm in the uk, in England. It definitely wasn't fair what happened and I've complained to the job centre, the people that got me the job originally and they are looking into it for me so hopefully they can do something.
