I learned my laugh as well. I don't really think it's that unusual to be honest and I'm not even sure it's an autistic thing either.

I have developed my own sense of humour over the years though and my laugh is real even though it was originally copied. I have a very dirty laugh. My daughter compares it to Sid James from The Carry On films. Even though I originally copied it from Vincent Price at the end of Michael Jacksons Thriller.

It is hard to tell what is an autistic trait or what is simply learning by copying which everyone does.

You don't copy an autistic trait ( well I suppose you can ) , copying is how a lot of autistic people blend in / mask , which NT's do too but to a lesser extent.
