I remember you have others! Amazing!

How long does a book take you, on average?

It really depends. This last was an on-and-off effort over the year, while working on other stuff. My first book was an anthology of short stories that I had been writing over the years. So it's hard to say, as I rarely work on one thing straight through, but rather let it sit for a time, while working on other projects.

I'm the same way. I'm working on a semi-autobiographical fiction book but also some academic papers. I flit back and forth but some days I just read or do other projects. Right now I'm onto Christmas crafts and taking a break for my brain.

I published some children's books and literary criticism several years ago. My daughter self-published quite a few books of fiction / poetry as well. This is my first go at a larger, more personal piece. I spend a lot of time editing and second-guessing myself but I'm pleased with it overall.

I hope your book is successful! I might give it a try! Which of your books do you most recommend?
