I think I've found a solution. You can type into Google the tide in your area so if I do that then at least I'll know what to expect. I get really anxious if I come across a difficult situation in public. If I'm with someone and it happens, I just laugh and think it's an experience. But if I'm on my own I go into panic and anxiety mode.

Interesting. The British spell it k-e-r-b instead of c-u-r-b.

But what about to curb, as in, to keep in line, like in Curb Your Enthusiasm? How is that spelled? spelt?
