You certainly are NOT the only one here on WP who wants this to happen!
Strange how most of the WP members defending Trump do not even live in America.

Thank you, Sir AA.  Perhaps they would love to see America brought down to their level ... ?

I can't figure it out how supposedly evangelicals preach the importance of family values yet they support somebody like Trump who flaunts family values all the time. I feel this is one of the reasons evangelicals are losing ground. Can an evangelical honestly say "I want my child to have the moral values of Trump"

With many, they believe he is a changed man. That he finally took Jesus into his heart and has been saved.

With others, it was purely pragmatic, what he could do for them with the courts.

But you are right that the obvious disconnect between what is preached and who is supported has hurt their credibility.

Trump is in bed with Putin? Do you have any empirical evidence to support that claim?

There was a 4 year investigation. Do you think if there was no evidence it wouldn't have been conducted so long?

Ha! No seriously, do you have any evidence? I'd love to see it.

It's on Hunter Biden's laptop

The My Pillow guy is at the root of all our problems. He needs to be purged.

Perhaps Trump's popularity has more to do with you folks than Trump himself.

That's what I'm thinking too.

There is a big difference between ATTENTION, and POPULARITY.

If everyone is talking about someone, sure, that's attention - but if they're all saying how much they hate them and how stupid they are, I don't really think that constitutes being popular...

Trump uses bad publicity in his favor. Like Cyberdad said, he's a clever opportunist.

As already stated - though perhaps indirectly - the problem isn't just corrupt, loony Trump, but also almost half the country who have proven themselves to be delusional lemmings.

You misunderstood what I was saying. I'm not saying Trump is "popular" among the anti-Trump people who pay attention to him. I'm saying that their disdain for him and his responses might make him even more popular among those who already like him. The anti-Trump folks also keep the spotlight on him, which can reel in otherwise indifferent folks to liking Trump in opposition to all of the haters.

So, yes, the anti-Trump folks may be a big part of why Trump is so popular (among those that support him).

I'm basing that on what I've heard about the "red wave" in repubs getting elected and the popularity of Biden and other demo politicians tanking.

Not hard to guess. There's what 3 Trump supporters with 2 from Australia. Vs what 6 anti-Trumps. I'm amazed there's so much activity here with so few people.
