After much hassle my s/dau managed to get suitable transport so I could be X rayed. That was on the 3 Dec. The paramedics,Gp etc had all been saying it was psychological,but the x-ray revealed I had a fractured hip. Based on the dates of my falls it had happened at least 7 weeks before. I was admitted and given a partial hip replacement on the 5th. I became quite poorly with a chest infection and pneumonia and was on oxygen for several days. I am currently in an inpatient rehab unit working towards being well enough to go home.

Keep yourself active as much as possible to prevent chest infections.

I’m sorry you had to suffer with a broken hip for so long.
