The deputy on the scene had to decide to either shoot the tiger, or let it continue to chew the man's arm off. Afterwards zoo officials and the sheriff's dept. fully supported the deputy's decision to shoot the tiger.

I think they should have at least let the tiger complete the job of chewing the guy's arm off before shooting it. That's only fair in my opinion.
