Does anyone think about the future of the world a lot, where our place is in it, and what we can do to keep most humans from destroying it? This is hope. It takes work, but we are uniquely suited to doing it.

Here is a thread containing one discussion on that very topic. The relevant discussion starts in the third post of that thread.

What are your own thoughts on the question of what we can do to keep most humans from destroying our world?

Can't do what all the destroyers are doing.. so, I'd say don't get a VR helmet and waste your time in the metaverse. If you want to make a difference digitally, best become a white hat hacker on the dark web. If you want to make a difference physically, best to unplug from the internet, plant a garden and trees etc. Or do both.

I'm kinda misanthropic these days partly because of this very reason. I kinda think that Covid is our planet's attempt at reducing the hew-mon population but the world's population is still rising despite the virus. Hew-mons are much too busy blaming, hating, & fighting & killing each other to give a rat's a$$ about preserving our home planet for future generations. I majorly hope that we kill off our whole species before we can start making homes on other planets & f#cking them up like a swarm of locusts that quickly migrate from one area to the next leaving a path of destroyed plant life in our wake.
