I just sang two songs tonight for karaoke. It can be fun, you just have to be comfortable with your voice and performing in front of people, lol.

Several times more than I could count... Or ever remember.

Karaokes an everywhere norm here.
Even at night. Even if it's now illegal to do so.

I'm one of those who rarely do. At least yearly, either alone or dared by someone.

Goodness, where is it illegal to sing karaoke? 8O

I only do it when I feel like it, which isn't very often.

Just at late night when everyone's supposedly asleep. 8O

Because people here plays for like... Every other week, in public.
Some do it practically several times everyday -- like my own mom

I stopped counting how many times I've sung karaoke before I even reached adulthood, but have been singing more as an adult... it's been over a year since last time though since the events and other places I like to sing at have all been cancelled or closed due to covid.

I’ve done it twice, at camp, mostly to conquer fear. Sticking with this one now since I didn’t spoil it too much and people actually liked it, which I wasn’t sure would be the case regardless of how I did. And it bolsters me because I love it so much.

Yes I have. I've also sang my own songs in front of people.

I get embarrassed singing around people, or even on my own, so no, I don't do karaoke. I don't dance either, for the same reason. But I do play the keyboard.

I tried once and it didn't work..

lol not sure if it was social anxiety, or if I was just too drunk or if it was just too hard of a song initially. Lol tried to do Jefferson Airplane-White Rabbit and just totally failed at it.

To avoid embarrassment you need to know the song really well before doing it in public.

Or go with someone who'll do even worse so no one will remember you.

I've done karaoke many times. It's fun. One time for a New Year's Eve party, my clubhouse had a karaoke contest and the best singer won a prize. I decided to use my unusual accent as a strength and stick to The Rolling Stones for that night and I won the prize which was a box of chocolate hedgehogs. I brought the hedgehogs into the clubhouse the first day they were open in January and shared them with everyone.

I have done this too and it's always fun after the fact.
