Once I witnessed an assault outside a nightclub. Basically what happened was this man smashed a bottle over another guys head when he had his back turned. Then a group of men surrounded the attacker and assaulted him with a rain of punches. From what I heard he was taken to the hospital after the assault.

Do you think he probably got what he deserved for attacking a guy with a bottle who’s back was turned?

Of course he deserved it.  How can you not see that?

Yeah but still it was cowardly for a group of men to attack one man.

In most instances, the guy who hit the other guy over the head with a bottle deserves what he got.

But we don't know the whole story.

As for me, I'd rather just stay home and watch YouTube videos.....

Cowardly is smashing a bottle over another guys head when he had his back turned.

So?  It is no more cowardly than attacking someone from behind.

Were you the man who got hit, the man with the bottle, one of the crowd, or did you just stand there and watch it all happen without trying to intervene?

Well that guy glassed someone. It's worthy of a torrent of punches from a group of men. Sounds like a fair and equal fight to me.

No number of wrongs will make a right. How horrible to have witnessed such a thing. That can stay in a person's mind for the rest of their life.

Since you cared not enough to risk your own safety for the sake of another, there is no reason for you to care at all.

Don't know if anyone 'deserves' to be assaulted.
Thinking like that is how many evils are dismissed.
Like how women 'deserve' to be raped.
Fair enough the guy shouldn't have glasses someone.
But if the other guys were big enough to bash him up
They would have been big enough to restrain him
Until police arrived.
And let them deal with it.
But alcohol isn't known to produce rational thinking.
