I can't say it's a pattern I've noticed, particularly since the atheism wars of the 00s have died down and the religious right has lost most of its cultural power. When I do see it, it tends to be in political discussions where you'd expect to, abortion, gay rights, trans stuff, etc, where one of the standard arguments is religious based, but aside from the occasional "X is my God given right" type of formulation I don't see it as common in other topics.

I'm a pure agnostic----in that "you never know."

But I have maybe a half-percent place within my soul that believes there's a God.
