I'm probably breaking a rule but looking at your chart and knowing you race, do you think impulsivity helps or hinders?
Probably both, because I tend to be aggressive about taking openings but I can be prone to getting myself into trouble by not thinking things through carefully.
With that said, I've also been interested in racing pretty much anything off and on most of my life so I've learned patience from seeing things go wrong by acting impatiently.
Perfectionist traits and a tendency towards ruminating can really check impulsive tendencies, but therein lies another concern - your mind can distract you badly over small mistakes or other stuff that's in the past so you've got to develop the skill to detach from that and just stay in the moment.
I believe it's more likely to be more of an issue when I try my hand at endurance racing for real (fingers crossed), but then again, I think being suited up, belted in and wearing all the protective gear might go a big way to maintaining focus. It's hard to not remember how serious what you're doing is when you've got all those reminders, and it's even more sensory input to keep me hyperfocused.
What I've done in real life has never really lasted long enough to reach the point where my focus starts to fade.
