Yes, non-Ukrainians wait longer than Ukrainians at border crossings and are ordered to separate queues - because checking their documents takes much longer. It's the same as with airports having a faster route for locals and common visitors and a slower one for the rest. Only with shellings, emotions get high and conflicts erupt way more easily.

That's not what the students say

I can't find the original site (too many posts since seeing that. But it appeared totally randomly on a social media story about BLM

Dude, why do you persist with posting bad sources? It's like you're trying to establish the lowest level of credibility possible  :?:

I'm providing parallel evidence....here's a Polish lady on the Ukrainian border posting that Ukrainians and Poles are beating up international students

There was a fight and Polish police intervened. Whatever sparked it, it's being investigated by the authorities.

Do you honestly imagine in a situation like that fights wouldn't be erupting?

It's understandable.

An English-speaking YouTuber was documenting his departure and he likewise mentioned the disorderly queues and even some violence.

Are you saying these reports are fake?
Students, who are in anticipation to cross into Poland, have also reported incidents of harassment by Polish and Ukrainian officials. Disturbing accounts by Indian students stranded in Ukraine surfaced on Sunday morning with videos of them beaten up by Polish officers going viral. In audio circulated on social media, one student seems to be claiming that some students were also thrashed and 'tortured' by Ukrainian officers.

They are in 20-30 major news channels

No food, no water and freezing conditions are the reality of these queues, for everyone there. It is a freaking humanitarian crisis. Ukrainians are walking exactly the same 10 km in the frost. That's the reality of conditions in the chaos of war.

It's hard to say who's moved by force by the police on the video and why. Even those testifying in the article don't know. It looks like someone is being removed from a place they're not supposed to be and the methods used don't look different from those used in tense situations on locals.

You know - actually read the article you link. It's describing chaos of war, a humanitarian crisis to everyone there - from a perspective of Indian students because it's an Indian newspaper calling Indian authorities to be more available for them and help.

Pop-out to the border and make some videos, ask some questions.

Ukrainians *and* Poles?
*That* sounds fishy.
Why would Poles beat up refugees?
Think about it. 8)

It's crowded enough already.
Even my city is running low on space for arriving refugees.

There are incidents of fights and one of them involved a group of Indians. By simple statistics - the rest of the people involved in the fight had to be Ukrainian and/or Polish.

I didn't read all posts but my take on this 'racism' claims:
- Racism exists everywhere, not only in Ukraine or Poland.
- It's Poland who requested to refuse entry of non-european refugees, not Ukraine.
- Poland is obliged to acquire Ukrainian refugees because those latter have no longer a safe country.
- Non-european refugees have safe countries (South Asians, Arabs, Africans...etc), it's the responsibility of their embassies/governments to make formal rassurements with Polish government that their people won't stay in Poland (let's face it, Poland being a EU is very tempting for illegal migrants to exploit the mess), and to send buses to the borders to escort them directly to embassy/airport for immediate deporting process, did they do that already? No country wants to be flooded with illegal migrants.
- Not only black people were being pushed back, all non-european refugees were being pushed back and denied entry, POCs are assumed obvious cases of being non-european citizen (statistically), and there's probably a language barrier in this mess.

The spokesperson of our Border Guard claims that those who want to use the chaos for an easy entry to EU behave differently from those actually fleeing the war - like, they refused to go to our refugee entry post (warmth, food, drink, document checks and paperwork being done) and demanded a drive to the capital. The police had to intervene.

There are fights out here in Australia also, I think.
I'll see if I can Google if that is true. <satire>
