A Virgin Mouse Gave Birth to a Litter of Baby Mice

There were a couple locked male privilege threads in PPR recently... It just might be the whole thing might disappear as a concept in the end. Real men are a dying breed.

Parthenogenesis has been known in nature for a long time.

Now that scientists are able to induce it in the laboratory, it will only be a matter of time until women are able to conceive and give birth to identical clones of themselves at will.

Eventually, it may become possible to tweak one chromosome of the 23rd pair to produce a baby that is identical to the mother in every way, except for being cis-male.

According to professor google

Only mammals have relinquished parthenogenesis, a means of producing descendants solely from maternal germ cells. Mouse parthenogenetic embryos die by day 10 of gestation. Bi-parental reproduction is necessary because of parent-specific epigenetic modification of the genome during gametogenesis.

Women dig men for reasons other than procreation.

Recreation?

I'll admit I don't understand how so many gals can find guys attractive. But I'm glad (and grateful) they do.

parthenogenesis isn't unusual in humans either. The embryos don't develop far, though
