News that inflation has hit a 40-year high is another blunt reminder of just how much the president is asking voters to sacrifice in an election year.

Putin's invasion of Ukraine came at just the right time for Biden to eschew all blame for out of control inflation in the US, which had already been taking place. I'm expecting he will also use it as an excuse for raising taxes and all sorts of other things.

^ The only thing keeping me from wishing he'd croak from old age is his VP.

So people having to deal with the rising prices are too stupid to understand the goobermint overspending and printing more money effects inflation in a bad way.

Inflation began well before Russia invaded Ukraine, so it's not surprising the Democrats are
trying to get more people to believe government overspending is a good thing.

Too late. I already blame Putin for rising prices.

Him, Trump, and the Republican Oligarchs too.

Deal with it.

Blaming a president of one country on things that happen worldwide - post-covid inflation and global impact of Russian invasion in Ukraine neither have their sources in US, nor happen only there - is not particularily well anchored in the reality, too.

Anyone who is actually responsible for war (Putin), treason (Trump), and price gouging (Republican Oligarchs).

Again, deal with it.

Such is the nature of partisan politics. It's what maintains the corporate state, and that's how we got Trump. Sadly, most Americans are clueless to that reality.

Remember, we got Trump (and Russia got Putin) before we got Biden as President-- not the other way around.

Cause: Trump/Putin
Effect: Biden

Some of what I see here is partisanship on steroids.

For those of us who care for neither Sleepy Joe nor The Donald, partisanship itself is laughable.

Yeah. Some actually believe the Republicans are the only ones controlled by the oligarchs. That's as blind as you can be.

Oh yes, the oligarchs are all staunch republicans; Musk, Bezos, Gates, Soros...

I did not.  I went on about how it is the fault of the wealthy Republican oligarchs, Trump, and Putin.  Sleepy Joe is just too slow to react properly.

The rising prices would not occur under a more regulated market, which the Republicans abhor.
