Mother arrested using restroom at gas station

The mother of an autistic boy was arrested and handcuffed in front of her son after using a restroom in a gas station,

It's not clear why the mother was arrested and the police gave no explanation when they released her afterward.

Given this happened in the southern state of Georgia I guess the time is right for publishing a new edition of the green book for black travellers. There are clearly some towns in the US where it dangerous to travel while black.

It is clear why she was arrested. She was black.

Between the right's love for "law and order" and for legislating morality, POC are set up to fail. It's too easy to slip up and be on the wrong side of the law.

Gotta love the police traumatising the mother and the autistic boy and realising they made a massive mistake just threw her back on the street and drove away.

OR whether the gas station didn't like a black woman using their restroom if she wasn't a customer so called the cops on her.

The family was just in the wrong place, at the wrong time? How about, instead of still blaming the family for the police' f*ck up, the police admit they majorly screwed up?

Judging from other (thousands) of incidents involving incompetent and/or corrupt cops, they will pretend nothing happened.
