How does E:S theory explain hyperfocus?

Or a focus on routines? Or a myriad of other things that are pretty central to autism?

Okay, so I know it's a discredited crackpot theory at this point. But I'm still curious to know how its supporters explain how "systemising" becomes hyperfocus and trouble with overstimulation.

I think that theory has pretty much been proven faulty by subsequent research.
