(clicky)hear actual sounds from the planet Mars!
although this is not a first [Huygens probe on titan got some sampled wind noise back in 2005], this is the first recording of actual ground-level Martian winds and mechanical noises from the Mars Perseverance Rover in its Martian duties.

the Huygens Titan probe from 2005 also had a microphone on it which recorded the audio of its descent through the atmosphere, but it did it largely by sampling until the end.

The Venera 14 recordings from the surface of Venus are pretty spooky too.

^^^i would imagine, that with 50 times the atmospheric pressure of earth, that the venusian winds down there must be many times stronger and noisier than on earth.
