Speaking at a town hall debate with Labor leader Anthony Albanese ahead of the upcoming Australian election due to take place on May 21, Morrison was fielding a question from a mother of an autistic child.

The question concerned the future of the country’s National Disability Insurance Scheme under Morrison’s ruling coalition party.

As part of his response, Morrison stated, "Jenny and I have been blessed, we've got two children that don't - that haven't had to go through that."

The Prime Minister’s remarks drew dismay from sections of Australia’s disability community for the implication that a child with a disability is not a blessing for their parents in quite the same way as what parents with “regular” kids get to experience.

The backlash was quick to arrive with Labor Senator Katy Gallagher, who has a daughter with autism, lamenting the fact that it was "the kind of response they get all the time."

Yep.....very "face-palm."

And, to use the modern term, "cringeworthy."

I accept he wasn't meaning to be malicious.

But it did reveal some implicit bias he carries about autistic kids. Not exactly his finest moment as prime minister.

Whether or not he meant to be malicious, he still was.

It was a simple error of judgement in his choice of words. Not the first Morrison has made.
There was no ill intent.

Autism is no picnic.
It is difficult for the parents.
It is difficult for the kids.

Erm, I don't think you understand the concept of "malicious". 8)

Malice can be seemingly intentional, and seemingly unintentional.

scomo is an evangelical but he's also conservative so my guess is he thinks (and I'm serious) that disability is a punishment from god

He's a Luciferian Freemason. Even then he's probably a hypocrite Luciferian and only goes along with it because his senior NSW daddy and Freemason mates helped him ;)

Exodus 20:7 reads:

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

When someone says something and others take it the wrong way the sin is heaped on the ones who took it the wrong way and not the person who said something because their hearts are in the clear and are innocent of all wrongdoing.
The ones who took what was said without considering the origional intentions of what were said are the ones who are at fault.

Who accused Jesus who was the ONLY man ever to live here on this Earth without sin... Who accused Him? The people who were jelous of His success and what He did.
Where is Jesus today and where are his accusers today?

What did Jesus say to demonstrate what we as people should do in situations like this? "Go and take the plank of wood out of your eyes so you can see to take the speck of sawdust out from your brothers eyes".

The problem today with the media and the internet is it becomes a den of wickedness pushing to attack and accuse the specks of sawdust by planks who can't see how high the pile of their own sins are.

We all need to look at ourselves and teach others to do so.

I am not blaming any individual but when I see people trying their best and messing up and I see the "Wolves" who pounce on them it is something we should point out and say what these woolves are doing is wrong.

Cyberdad: To paraphrase Lincoln: It's not that we hope should God is on our side, but that we are on God's side.
