If you're a minimum wage clerk at Walmart theyll fire your ass for doing that on the job. Certainly any office would fire you having porn sites on your office computer. So why should Parliament be any different?

I don't think that is part of his job description.
If he is on a break that would be a different situation if his internet access is not paid for by his job who may then regulate its use.
If he is in a public area this would again be against many laws in many places.
If you have a problem with a law the answer is not to circumvent the law but to find a way to change it.

I remember there was a real gung ho by the book supervisor where I worked once. Wouldn't give anyone any leeway. Then one day a company IT guy told me he spent hours a day looking at hardcore porn in the company computer.

Rules are for commoners. Just because any regular slob would get fired for watching porn at work doesn't mean this paragon of Tory values should suffer any consequences.

It was his position and where he watched it that was the issue.

In public office while on the job it's a no no.

I think the humiliation the media threw on him was over the top. Watching porn is the norm for many people yet the shade the media is throwing on him was for the fact he simply watched porn and not that he watched porn in an inappropriate place.

On the side subject. I've known a few people who were caught watching porn in work and nothing really happened to them. All that happens is that they're just known as the workplace porn addict.
