Fun thread.
Satire reading ability exercise thread.
Non-scheduled to add new content.

The following content is from a very special network environment.
If there's anything here that you don't understand or think is offensive, please ask OP.
please don't take any text literally!

Quote:
How does the Western media brainwash Westerners?

1. The federal government sets up a special department to conduct unified review of media content.
The content of traditional media such as newspapers and impurities can only be published after pre-examination by the State Propaganda Department. Internet content is subject to a strict joint and several liability system. If users publish bad content, network operators will also be punished by fines and suspension of power.
For the content of entertainment products such as TV series, movies, games, etc., the censorship system in the West is notoriously opaque. You don't even know what content isn't allowed, only that another work has been suspended.

2. The West strictly prohibits public officials and university professors from freely expressing their opinions in the media. Ordinary people know information either through the unified voice of the White House spokesperson, or they can only look at various unqualified self-media accounts. And these self-media accounts have already gone through countless rounds of screening, and will only make politically correct voices.

3. The U.S. Department of Information uses an information tool called "prism" to keep Americans from getting information from the outside world. Even if they can see the information of foreign media, the US media selects the rest according to the standard of political correctness, and cannot recognize the actual situation of the outside world at all.

4. The United States uses Pavlovian information training extensively on its citizens. For example, George Washington, the U.S. Army, and the Federal Police will always appear in the media with a positive image. If someone gives a negative description, they will be arrested by the Department of Justice immediately.
The Soviet Union, China, Iran and other countries always appear in the media with events such as wars, disasters, and scandals. If someone does not go along with these stereotypes, they will be attacked by cyberbullying and even social engineering by others.

5. American film and television have long been occupied by various illogical scripts against the Soviet Union and China. In these episodes, Soviet and Chinese soldiers were portrayed as brutal and imbecile beasts. There are often scenes of an American cowboy taking out a battalion of Soviet Red Army troops with a quick revolver. Over time, many American people have been indoctrinated with the idea that the Soviets and the Chinese are the cancer of the earth and must be eliminated.

The author is more radical than I am. Parts of 2 and 4 are exaggerated in my opinion, while 5 is exaggerated and outdated.
But, fun.

How many stars are there on the flag of this United States?

I had no idea that Chinese citizens had such free expression.

And yet, this article has presumably survived.

^There is no "such free expression", otherwise our expressions would not be so distorted.

New one:
Q:Are Japan and Korea a model of development that had lost their descendants?

Quote:
Although Japanese house price-to-income ratio is only 8-9 years, they do not need a down payment.

Although Japanese may not need a down payment, their mortgage interest is less than 1%.

Although Japanese mortgage rates are less than 1%, they can take out a 35-year mortgage.

Although Japanese can take out a 35-year mortgage, they have freehold property.

Although Japanese have freehold property, there is no ''residential pool area''.

In such a country, how can young people have the motivation to work hard and struggle to buy a house? Of course they will lose the will to have children. In my opinion, it is still better for the young people in our country to fight in the way of 996 than the Japanese otaku who lay flat in the way of 955, and have a higher sense of happiness!

If they had stopped talking at that point it would have been documentably valid.

What do you think of China's vacation system (combined vacation)?
Note: This question seeks to accuse unreasonable labor conditions.

Quote:
Provisions of the 1954 Constitution
"Citizens have freedom of speech, publication, assembly, association, procession, and demonstration. The country provides necessary material facilities to ensure citizens enjoy these freedoms."

Provisions of the 1975 Constitution
"Citizens have freedom of speech, communication, publication, assembly, association, procession, demonstration, strike".

Provisions of the 1978 Constitution
"Citizens have the freedom of speech, communication, publication, assembly, association, procession, demonstration, and strike. They have the right to use 'big voice, big talk, big debate, and big-character posters'."

Provisions of the 1983 Constitution
"Citizens of the People's Republic of China have the freedom of speech, publication, assembly, association, procession and demonstration."

Citizens of a socialist country have no right to strike.  :(

The constitution of an "authoritarian" nation like Belarus probably has similar words.

But we do know that "actions speak louder than words," right?

^The beauty of this satire is that it points out that certain rights have disappeared from the Constitution.
This technique of comparing propaganda/rules between the present and the past is very common in Chinese political satire, and we call it the "bound edition".
The quote is meant to answer that question in sarcastic form: We cannot improve our labor conditions because the government has denied us the right to strike. This may even be the root cause of the gradual deterioration of the labor environment.

We all know that the rights conferred by the law may not always be implemented. This happens in most countries.
But the right to be removed from the law must have disappeared. It is worthwhile to amend the Constitution to remove a certain right means such an act so needs to be prohibited. That's the sad part of it.

New one:

Quote:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again responded to the U.S. plan to ban CCP members and their families from journey to to the U.S.: No country has the right to deny the correct path chosen by the Chinese people.

This is indeed the headline of the news summarizing the statement of the Foreign Ministry.
But also it's also a political satire meme.
Depends on how to interpret it. There is a subtle ambiguity in this sentence.

Why do Chinese overtime workers complain all the time, while Japanese workers work longer overtime and work hard without complaining?

Quote:
A reactionary capitalist country like Japan does indeed have a deeply rooted anti-human overtime culture.
However, the Japanese reactionary rulers have yet to completely eliminate overtime in Japan, which fully demonstrates the inherent inferiority of capitalism.

Under Japanese law, overtime is 40 hours per month.
what is this concept?
A maximum of 2 hours of overtime is required per working day! The eight-hour day was abruptly extended by the reactionary Japanese bourgeoisie to possibly as high as 10 hours!
Although overtime pay will be paid, the physical and mental damage of overtime to workers is irreversible.

Overtime hours are only one aspect. Japan’s long-oppressed working people also face extremely long commuting times.
According to Japanese media statistics, the average commuting time in Japan is 1.19 hours, while the commuting time in the Tokyo metropolitan area has reached 1.45 hours!
What is this concept?
If a worker in Tokyo, Japan, can normally get off work at 8 hours and 5:00. But under the oppression of the reactionary bourgeoisie, he worked overtime for an hour and commuted for an hour and a half, and he didn't even get home to reunite with his family until 7:30 pm!
The vast number of Japanese working people live in a hell of hell on earth.
Under such a reactionary rule of the Japanese government, the Japanese people do not marry or have children, and it is not surprising that the country is fully aging.

We live in a warm socialist new China. While thanking The Party and The Motherland, we must not forget that there are still many people in the world living in oppressed and enslaved capitalism.

If you think "reunite with his family until 7:30 pm"(AFAIK Japanese don't do that now either) is actually compassionate, then you don't know China well enough.

Those descriptions of other countries seem to be exactly what China is. Are these really serious?

Some describe China - using other countries' names to avoid censorship or for satirical effect.
Some use demeaning tactics to tell other Chinese about foreign countries - These countries have many deficiencies in propaganda about them, but the lives of their citizens are actually the envy of most Chinese. It's a way to fight propaganda.

When describing Japan, it's usually the latter.
The former usually uses "United States", "Soviet Union", "Vietnam", "North Korea", but other names are possible.

The description of Japan labor situation seems quite civil for what I know about East Asia - and I understand, contrasting the descrition of quite a desired life with expressions of apparent outrage is the point of satire here.

How can China avoid entering an aging society like Japan?

Quote:
Confirm the facts before asking why.

Conclusion first: China does not have an aging crisis, and the questioner's concerns are unnecessary.

According to the country's official data, China's latest aging population has reached 250 million, which looks scary, but it is not scary if you analyze it carefully.

Because China has three fundamental systems of "urban-rural duality", "hukou", and "inside and outside the system", the aging crisis has been fundamentally disintegrated.

In the past, China's urbanization rate was very low. In 1959, the urbanization rate was only 18%. Therefore, among the 250 million elderly people over the age of 60, at least 70% or about 175 million are rural people.
The basic pension in rural areas is only 55 RMB a month, which is only equivalent to 1% of the retirees whos inside the system. Therefore, the pension expenditure of these 175 million rural elderly is ≈ 1.75 million standard people, which is almost negligible.

The remaining 75 million elderly people in urban areas, most of whom are residents outside the system in small and medium-sized cities, have an average pension of 2,000 to 3,000 RMB, which is only 2/3 of whos inside the system. 75 million divided by three = 25 million standard people.

In addition to the 1.75 million standard people in rural areas, the 250 million elderly people are equivalent to less than 30 million standard people.

Therefore, China's actual aging is only 0.3/11.5=2.6%, which is the youngest country in the world.

"inside the system" means to become a lifetime employee of the public unit/government with administrative ability or professional skills. The former are called civil servants.
At present, the total number of such personnel relying on financial allocations is about 40 million.

Exchange rate on May 4, 2022:
1 RMB = 0.1513 USD

The math is hilarious
But equations like "175 million rural elderly is ≈ 1.75 million standard people" sound really scary... and speak of horrible poverty among the rural elderly.

Natural disasters, unfortunately, used to kill a great many Chinese folks---probably because of infrastructure and poverty.

A flood in 1931, along the Huang He River, is estimated by some to have caused over a million deaths.

More recently, in 2010, an estimated 300,000 people perished in an earthquake in Haiti that measured only 7 on the Richter Scale.
