Carrying out normalized nucleic acid testing in many places, will this replace "large-scale lockdowns"?

Why do a lot of people tell me that Nordic have a high standard of living, but they don't tell me how Chinese can live a Nordic-like life?

Quote:
The total population of the five Nordic countries does not exceed 25 million, and the quality of life in China exceeds the level of the five Nordic countries by more than 50 million.

So don't envy the Nordics. In China, if you are lucky enough or work hard, you can also live a much better life than the five Nordic countries.

No matter how good the life of the five Nordic countries is, they still have to work; China does not have to work and work, and its income is much better than that of the five Nordic countries.

Don't complain. If you were born in a foreign country, the probability of you being lucky enough to be born in the five Nordic countries is 0.25/60, and if you were born in China, the probability that you are lucky enough to live better than the five Nordic countries is 0.5/14. Whichever has a higher probability can be calculated by everyone.

The country has not let you down, think about what you can do for the country and what you can contribute.

50 million: "within the system"
Currently, becoming "within the system" requires a brutally competitive exam. Slightly acceptable positions may be the quota which more than a hundred people compete.

To be fair, "within the system", those areas and grassroots who are not wealthy work hard and do not have much income.
But when the economy is down, it still evokes yearning compared to the "outside the system" fend for itself. Like, you can't actually guarantee that every American has a better life than the Chinese. But that doesn't mean that no one will yearn for USA.

Even on the mathematical level, I find a big fallacy in the whole argument - there are 25 million people in Nordic countries and 50 million privileged Chinese.
Now, how many people outside of both China and Nordic countries can afford Nordic lifestyle? These have been neglected in the whole argument.

BTW, one of the very ideas of Nordic lifestyle is social equality... which pretty much renders the whole concept above absurd.

^Yes, there are quite a few unreproducible conditions in northern Europe. In particular, its per capita resources cannot be imitated by China.
Nordics is actually an often-analyzed issue in Chinese political debates. This asker may have missed a few.

The reference to "50 million" usually means wanting to oppose the "ruling class". His advice was not sincere.

My understanding of this answer is:
Give up fantasy. And start by addressing inequality within the country.

From what I know about development of Nordic states in 20th century, their approach has been very much focused on improving quality of life on the bottom of the society...

^I guess most people would like to live in a country like this...
But many people rich enough to immigrate don't want it.

A Chinese think tank released "Ten Questions about American Democracy", exposing the hypocritical mask of American democracy. What information is worth paying attention to?

Is the United States a democratic country?

Quote:
Not.

What is a democratic country?

First, there must be "democracy" in the country's name.

such as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

In contrast, the name of the United States is the United States of America, which has neither the people nor the democracy.

Second, the country's guiding ideology should reflect democracy.

For example, the theoretical basis and ideological system of North Korea are based on the Juche idea.
The meaning of Juche idea is that the masses are the masters of revolution and construction, and also the force that promotes revolution and construction. That is, people are the masters of their own destiny, and they are also the power to develop their own destiny.

In contrast, the United States is owned by 1%, governed by 1%, and enjoyed by 1%. Is this democracy?

Third, the country's constitution must reflect democracy.

As the North Korean constitution solemnly declares:
The power of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea belongs to the working people such as workers, peasants, soldiers, intellectuals, etc. Working people exercise power through their own representative organs - the Supreme People's Assembly and the local people's assemblies at all levels.
All state organs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are organized and operate in accordance with the principle of democratic centralism.

In contrast to the U.S. Constitution, I Ctrl+F over it, and there is no democracy.

Fourth, to effectively check and balance the powers of each other.

For example, the legislative body of North Korea is the Supreme People's Assembly.
The government cabinet is the executive running organ of the highest power of the state. The Cabinet is composed of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, Chairman of the Committee and various government ministers for a term of five years.
The State Council is the highest national leadership organ established by the Supreme People's Assembly, the highest national authority in North Korea, and is elected by the Supreme People's Assembly.

On the other hand, the so-called "separation of powers" in the United States cannot hide its absurd and hypocritical nature. Those who are interested can Google Wuheqilin's penetrating paintings.

Fifth, the people have broad and full suffrage.

Since 1948, North Korea has held nationwide elections every five years to determine seats in the Supreme People's Assembly. Its constitution stipulates that all citizens over the age of 17 have the right to vote and stand for election, and North Korea's election turnout and candidates vote rate often reach 100 percent.
This shows that North Korea's leadership is truly loved by the people.

On the other hand, American politics is divided and polarized. "One America" opposes "another America", and the government cannot get the support of half of the people. Politicians fool the people, abuse the trust of voters, and write all kinds of empty promises without fulfilling them. Is this democracy?

Sixth, multi-party cooperation and consultation.

For example, North Korea's united front for the motherland has democratic parties such as the North Korean Social Democratic Party and the Tiandao Youth Youth Party.
They can play a full role in the supervision of political participation and deliberation.

In contrast to the United States, Alfred de Zayas, a professor of international law at the Geneva Diplomatic Academy, once sharply commented on the false two-party system in the United States:
America's two-party system is not democratic. Because both parties pursue American exceptionalism, imperialism, interventionism, and both value financial giants rather than ordinary people.

The Supreme People's Assembly is the highest organ of power enshrined in the Constitution of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The leader of the highest authority in North Korea is Comrade Choe Ryong-hae, elected by the people by one vote by one vote.

This fully reflects the will of the people.

the United States?

Bah!

Wuheqilin: A pro-establishment painter active in online politics, known for his artistic satire.
But he seems only interested in satirizing the Anglo countries. He therefore lost the interest of most people.

What do you think about that the Gini coefficient of Chinese residents' income has dropped to 0.466?

Quote:
Support. Excellent domestic data. For all domestic statistics, we should not be prone to "European and American styles and repeated references to Greece".

We should "take the essence and discard the dross", using the concept of western economics, but using statistical methods suitable for national conditions.

The western set of statistics based on facts, without knowing the results or the impact of the data before the statistics, is absolutely unacceptable. In the end, Europe and the United States are constantly throwing themselves in the foot. This month, their statistics show that inflation has exceeded 8%. It's such an emergency. Why should statistics be based on the real situation?

Data must serve people's lives. Therefore, if we want to abandon the backward statistical methods in the west, we must first set the tone: what is the purpose of this data? Can we make people's lives happier? What data results are needed to achieve our keynote? Therefore, "statistics on demand" is the foundation of the new era and independent economic characteristics.

Quote:
Think about it just like China's eight-hour day.

Quote:
The statistics bureau may not have lied, but they must have made innovations in statistical methods.

Quote:
Let me put forward an idea. As long as the group with the highest income (such as the top 0.1 percent) changes nationality, the Gini coefficient will decrease significantly.

Moreover, when our Gini coefficient drops, it will also push up the Gini coefficient of the United States, and the American people will live in even more dire straits.

I call this method Gini win-win.

How do you view tiktok's cultural conflict in the UK and the large number of employees leaving in the short term?
Note: italic is my personal mark

Quote:
British small capitalism meets Chinese big capitalism

Quote:
Capitalist countries don't condone you

Quote:
The West has really declined

Even capitalist cannibalism has to be taught by the Chinese!

I think the western world will perish sooner or later!

Quote:
To the end, which one is the capitalist base camp...

Serious part:
Quote:
Breaking the law is breaking the law. Don't say it's a cultural conflict. If there is any "culture", it is about "laws must be obeyed".

The employment rights act of the United Kingdom has provisions on "compulsory maternity leave". What is mandatory? That is to say, an employer shall not permit an employee who satisfies prescribed conditions to work during a compulsory maternity leave period.

According to the instructions on the government website, the time of compulsory maternity leave is two weeks (four weeks for factory employees). In addition, employees can enjoy up to 52 weeks of non compulsory maternity leave with advance notice to the company. When taking non mandatory maternity leave, employees can enjoy the salary equivalent to 90% of the original salary level during the first 6 weeks, and there is a ceiling of £ 156.66 per week for the next 33 weeks. The salary level after 39 weeks can be decided by the company.

The ByteDance executive named Joshua Ma claimed that as a "capitalist", he thought that paid maternity leave should not be provided. It seemed that he did not understand the laws of "old brand capitalist countries".

The British workers who the "capitalists" tried to discipline responded quickly. According to the financial times, half of the employees of tiktok's e-commerce department in the UK have left after the completion of the mall. Two of them had disputes with the company due to work environment problems, and the company paid money to settle with them.

In an interview with the media, British employees said that tiktok's working environment was "toxic" and that the working relationship there was based on fear.

What makes UK workers feel "toxic" in the end? The financial times gives some examples:

Often need to work more than 12 hours a day

Provide feedback report immediately after the live broadcast in the evening

Employees who can work overtime are praised in the team for their "commitment"

An employee who said he could work on holidays was set as a positive example

It can only be said that people's physique is quite different. The air that some people breathe in the workplace is already toxic to the British.

This must be a body constitution problem, not a cultural problem.

ByteDance: Tiktok parent company
body constitution problem: The author uses homophony here. Its pronunciation can also mean "system problem".

There's a lot resources about differences in work culture between Europe and East Asia - that totally includes "pro-Western" East Asia like Japan or South Korea.
In Europe, German work culture seems to be considered ideal: be 100% productive in your working hours, rest well and enjoy yourself outside of working hours, so you have power to be 100% productive the next day.
We believe that rest is essential to productivity. I once encountered a theory that it's because wheat traditionally required the soil to "rest" every few years to give hight yelds, while rice does not need it but the traditional methods of growing it are very labor-intensive.
Maybe just an esoteric speculation, but the differences in work culture and, thus, expectations of both employers and employees differ a lot.
My husband felt like he got a new life when he switched from working for a Korea-based company to an US-based company. In his case, the problem were strict hierarchies in the Korean company that routinely turned down ideas of the engineers because of the company politics. The US-based company encourages their engineers to discuss new ideas all the time and implements whatever they find valuable.

^This is certainly partly a cultural problem in East Asia. But it is harmful. This increases pain in vain, but it does not always really improve efficiency.
We on the economic left believe that this should be attributed to the government rather than the collective unconsciousness in the culture.

If you do not punish it - a considerable part of it is actually against the current law, but labour law is rarely actually implemented - you(government) are encouraging it.
This shows that this is your intention.
Everything else attributed to "culture" and "evil capitalists" is shifting contradictions.

"Using evil capitalists as an excuse" has created a large number of self proclaimed "Communists"(Note the purple dotted line) in China who have nationalistic tendencies and are pro establishment but do not show any economic leftist tendencies except "hanging the capitalists" and "overthrowing the capitalist west".
This annoyed our true economic leftists.
Sadly, many Westerners also blame "communism" for those crimes. This is obviously a characteristic of early capitalism.

CCP pretends that China is socialism to divert criticism and maintain the legitimacy of the rule. The United States pretends that China is Communist to incite McCarthy's hysteria.
The true Socialists/Communists were attacked by both sides. What a wonderful world.

^ Seems like we're going back to the topic of rule of law crossing not only democracy-dictatorship boundaries, but capitalism-socialism-communism, too.
