The above article has now been removed. It is unclear whether it was the platform's behavior or the author's personal behavior. This systematic analysis is often seen as "risky" (but the consequence is to delete articles or lead to bad account credit, no personal safety involved).

According to some representative papers of scholars in the field of suicide research in rural China (yes, this is a research field), as well as some public surveys. In many rural areas in central China, the phenomenon of suicide among the elderly has become more serious since the 1990s.

Only rural residents have and have arable land - meaning the rural elderly can still manage to obtain necessities from their fields - but it is extremely painful labor.

China has pretty good infrastructure now, relative to the level of its economy.
This is more of a systemic issue. The rapid industrialization in the PRC's history is inseparable from the exploitation of the rural population, which is called "worker-peasant scissors".
This is why the Chinese left(using Western definition instead of self-proclaimed) is now mostly concentrated in the anti-government camp. And in relatively mature political debates, "leftists" have become synonymous with anti-government - calling current China "Communist China" is an insult to both communism and capitalism.

Five years ago I saw these remarks quite often in communities where the political discussion was too vulgar.
But I've avoided talking about politics in those communities for a long time, and it's not clear to me whether those remarks are still that frequent in the current environment.
The winds have changed a lot in the past five years.

In the environment I am more familiar with, these remarks are not many, at least not so direct.

Thank you for the explanation. Now I get it. I'm not good at reading hidden meanings.

Are you safe saying what you are saying on this forum? You are being truthful about China. The government probably wouldn't like that.

I'm as safe as the author of the article I'm citing - they're writing on an open platform in China.
The Chinese government doesn't care what individual citizens think before taking actual action or spreading rumors.
Usually the biggest danger is the account being banned/suspended from the platform (I've had it a few times) because the platform doesn't like taking risks.

I'm experienced, so I'm familiar with "the boundaries".

I am surprised at the apparent leniency of the CCP.
I have been enlightened.
Thank you.

Why couldn't the Soviet Union break out of the authoritarian political model?

Quote:
(First of all, no malicious associations, I'm talking about the USSR)

The historical trajectory of the Soviet Union has been forcibly accelerated, and it has never experienced the step of the capitalist revolution to complete the anti-feudal revolution.
Even in the Russian era, taking the capitalist line is nothing more than engaging in economic activities under the leadership of the central government, and "rebellion" according to the order of the "emperor", and cannot complete the qualitative change.

Looking back at the 21st century, it is a nonsensical thing for the Soviet Union to engage in a proletarian revolution, because the people of Tsarist Russia have not been oppressed by capitalists for a day: the vast majority of people are serfs, and it is the feudal lords who oppress them.

This in itself is a very paradoxical thing:
The proletarian revolution originated in France, a country that developed rapidly and practiced primitive capitalism, but eventually disappeared and became a part of democratic politics. However, it has become the mainstream in countries like Tsarist Russia, where even primitive capitalism has not even begun to squeeze the people.
History has played a big joke.

Many people like to take Marx's words as a bible, but even Marx clearly acknowledged that capitalism can overthrow the feudal system, and that socialist countries will first appear in the capitalist countries with better development.
To put it bluntly, capitalism is the foundation of the proletarian revolution, and the proletarian revolution itself is part of the capitalist system.
Without capitalism, everyone is still a serf, who the hell cares whether the capitalists exploit it or not?

This was the mistake of the Soviet Union: seeing the shortcomings exposed by primitive capitalism, they avoided it by completely denying capitalism.

Unfortunately, the road has to be taken step by step, and history has never been a shortcut.

It can only be said that the development of history is in the same line, even if it is a mistake, no step is meaningless, and there has never been any mistake that can be avoided by manpower.

Not to leave that grape bricks in the cool cupboard for 21 days, or it would turn into wine. :lmao:

One argument is that we don't have a (real) eight-hour day because we workers haven't shed blood on it like the West.

The National Health and Medical Commission stated that "it will effectively reduce the burden of family birth and education, and fully release young people's willingness to bear children." What impact will this have?

Quote:
Teach the questioner a skill to solve once and for all the question of how a certain policy is viewed:

When looking at the policy, it depends on the department that issued the policy.

Generally, except for prohibited matters. When it comes to expressing what "we" want to encourage, the publisher needs to be observed.

If there is no agency that pays the money - usually the Ministry of Finance - then you can take this policy as if we have a good wish, that's all.

When did you see that these policies are multi-departmental joint names, the departments involved in handling affairs are all in it, and the Ministry of Finance is among them.

That's basically what's going to happen.

The above is the whole content.

^ Hidden answer to the question  "They would like to but they won't get funding"

It's kind of a logical puzzle to get the message. I like it.

^More often, this kind of statement seems to hope that the "people" will voluntarily do "what they should do" after hearing the news.
Or show that "our department is concerned about this issue, although we do not intend to take any real action".
Maybe out of stupidity, maybe just to perfunctory the center.

Why is there so little "hope for better" innocence in these satires?

Quote:
1. Is it possible that saying it bluntly will be censored?

2. Is it possible that everyone knows but The Tower just doesn't do it.

3. Is it possible that the issues we attach importance to are actually not cared by others at all?

4. Is it possible that everyone realizes the problem before they can promote reform?

5. Can you speak out about this without being censored?

"The Tower": An obscure term for "the government" in political debate.
Another commonly used term of the same meaning is "Leviathan".

Why is there such a lack of awareness of unions in China? Will the role of unions be so inconspicuous?

Quote:
Because we are a socialist country, the main role of enterprises is to serve the people.

When the union speaks for the workers and fights against the enterprise, it is tantamount to standing on the opposite side of the people.

Therefore, if the trade union also wants to serve the people, it must stand with the enterprise.

Our country's trade union system has fully proved the superiority of the characteristic socialist system in serving the people!

comment section:
Quote:
I want to be the people too.

China prohibits private unions from forming.

Existing trade unions in China are all part of the government sector.

Most Chinese people currently have the impression of a trade union as an organization that gives gifts during holidays or regularly arranges cultural performances and movies.

Local TV station interviews with primary school students in poverty-stricken areas.
Time unknown. Because most sources have been removed. The earliest source I personally found was 2019.

In Mumbai, food delivery was not followed up in time due to the two-week closure of the outbreak community.

A few people whose food at home was almost at the bottom had dug up dandelions downstairs in the community. There are not many dandelions, all of them will be dug up soon.

At this time, the security guard hurried over and scolded:

Stop digging, do you still have a public morality? The dandelions left as seeds are almost all dug up by you. This time you have all dug up, what can you do next time?

Mumbai: Shanghai.

Eat the security guard

I've seen a chat log of an online community jokingly talking about if the food storage is not enough, is it possible to eat the black guy in the housing estate. :skull:
Horrified when the black man noticed their conversation. But he also seemed to be just responding to the joke.
