I know that statistics point out that people with mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders are more likely to be victims than being perpetrators, but I wonder if there are specific psychological profiles that can explain criminal behavior.

I have been wondering for a very long time if being a serial killer can be explained by severe personality disorder associated with Antisocial Personality Disorder and something much worse. There is no way a person with empathy and remorse would be able to commit more than one murder. I thought to commit murder more than ones, your empathy needs to suppress, and it is very unhealthy.

I am trying my best to only talk about specific mental disorders that can heighten the risk for criminal behaviors, I don't want you guys to get confused, I am not trying to generalize mental health as a whole, because it's ignorant and wrong.

It feels like a taboo subject, but I really like Forensic Psychology, if I said something that sounds too generalized, please let me know, I will try my best to make it better.

I know many people who are fascinated by details of serial killings.
There does seem to be a certain cluster of characteristics shared by many serial killers.
This has been documented in certain studies and observed by specialists.

I won't add to that, there is so much information and discussion about that which can be found on the internet.

I think the persons who carry out such killings are on the very far end of a huge spectrum of human behavior.

I believe Psychopathic is one term used to describe such individuals.

I think almost all of those criminals also have delusions that is left unchecked, but it is only caused by a personality disorder much worse than Antisocial Personality Disorder. It's mostly delusion related to Erotomania, and megalomaniac delusion of granduer.
