I just say him/her/he/she/etc so naturally and instinctively, and so does everyone else I know. I'm not going to change my language just because of PC.

Eing? I don't know... I've always went for what seemed appropriate for whatever I'm writing. Never noticed something weird on other people's end. I do know something, if THEY start to get annoying with it, then him, her, he, she will instantly, and without a chance to revert, convert to IT or maybe even "the humanoid thingy" .
