Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has reiterated his concerns around China and said he was committed to holding the Albanese Government to account for “bad policy” on the issue.

Mr Dutton, who was flanked by his new deputy Sussan Ley, resumed his attack on a more assertive China following his unopposed election as Liberal Party leader on Monday.

The former defence minister said he would support Labor government policies improving Australia’s security and defence capabilities as he outlined his alarm over Xi Jinping’s China.
