I still read to my 11 year old at bedtime.

Reading to a 22 year old would be pretty bizarre, unless there were exceptional circumstances.

Tell the mom to tell the daughter to "get books on tape". Lol!

My uncle did actually say that, but the mum just said she wants her to read her a story and tuck her in.

It just seems like there's something strange going on. It's not really normal and whether it's right or wrong is not the point. People are naturally going to question it.

Maybe the daughter is on the spectrum and it's a routine thing, I don't know. But my uncle is quite judgemental, although he wouldn't bully or anything, he'd just criticise if someone isn't doing something to his standards. So I hope he doesn't unintentionally upset the mother or the daughter. I didn't really say anything about it, but there's nothing stopping me from feeling a little confused on what's going on - and also a little curious, but without intervention.

Joe90. I am your uncle's girlfriend's daughter's father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate!

Hmmm it is unusual for a 22yr old (erstwhile "normal" woman) to expect to have storytime before bed.

Should you investigate? well I am certainly curious.

It’s actually a secret code and they are both upstairs doing bong rips. :D
What kind of stories is what I wonder.
