Did you ever called your cat the wrong name? Sometimes I call my cat the wrong name, I call her with my first cat name.

Yes, it has happened. Both in the 1990s when I had 2 and in this decade when there are 2 again.

My girlfriend does that sometimes. She gets names mixed up some. She sometimes calls me by the name of one of her brothers(she can call me by either one of their names), or she calls them by my name, or calls them by each other's name. It's funny & we get a good laugh out of it  I get names mixed up myself some but I don't think I ever called Cass by a different name except pet names(which are many times a day) & joking around. I very seldom get the names of pets mixed up but I sometimes call our cat Girl & our chinchilla Buddy instead of by their names.

I call my cats whatever nickname comes out of my mouth.
Quite often they are Doo Doo and Pillow Head.
Those aren't their real names at all. 8)

I've had about 15 other cats but I don't remember calling these ones those names.
Those names all ended up being nicknames anyway.

I don't think cats mind so long as you feed them.

* I have three cats currently, but the eldest doesn't really have a nickname for some reason?
Now I'm wondering why? 8O

** I also have a dog. He has about 20 nicknames. Maybe more.

Actually no, I've never seen it -- but that's funny. :P

I liked Beavis and Butthead….but I doubt Isabella would like it. It’s an extraordinarily stupid cartoon. The only good thing about it—is that it doesn’t claim to be something other than stupid.

I like The Simpsons well enough but haven't seen much of it. ^

I've never seen Family Guy or any of the other ones.

Oh actually I think the kids used to watch Ren & Stimpy but I didn't pay attention to it.

Beavis and Butthead is in a totally different category.

The other cartoons you mentioned, at least, had substance.

Cats don't care what you call them.

Whatever you do be careful with names as my nieces and nephews decided to call a duck they had (A drake) by the name of "Fish" and after so many months, their rear lawn was looking a mess and so the two ducks they had came up here with our ducks. Their female duck they called "Francis" she is still alive and elderly. Fish lived a few years before a fox or something took him.

Now ducks are stubborn things. Chickens would all go in at night but ducks... What happened is that my Mum was often seen out at night shining her torch into the pond and shouting "Fish!" and getting annoyed as he would not go in. (The duck house is safe as we can shut the door and has two or three inch thick wood. Heavily built).
Then my Mum realized why the neighbours think we are a little odd, when she realized how it looked to them! Seeing someone shining a torch into the pond and shouting "Fish" at night! (They could not see the ducks from there but they could see the torch light and know we have a pond).

But anyway. Choose a name that those who hear one calling ones pet will not be puzzled as to what one is doing!
