Most people have been consistently talking about how full of sh-t Heard is, so I'm leaning towards Depp.
But it must be said I haven't delved very deeply into the whole thing and honestly I don't want to. I don't care for celebrity culture, seeing it ALL OVER the news and the internet and everyting is annoying, and frankly I can't wait for it all to be over.

Although seeing at least one of those spoiled and over-privileged celebrities publicly humiliated made watching the verdict kinda fun.  It would have been better if the settlements between them were evenly matched, essentially proving it a zero-sum issue.

During my high school years, I loved reading about celebrity culture which I admit was one factor in my desperation to fit in well enough with my peers. Now, I, like my family avoid celebrity culture as much as possible because we want real news and not "yellow journalism."

Its hot celeb gossip. And it would be nice if it were JUST that, and didnt seem to have implications for society at large.
But its hard not to put greater import into it than just two narcissistic celebs bickering.

Heard was "a bad witness for herself". So the Me Too movement hates her for discrediting it, and those oppose the Me Too movement pretend to hate her but really love her -for that reason too. So she is like Jussie Smollett (real hoodlums who wear MAGA hats love him).

But Depp seems like an imperfect human being himself, and has some blame. What the ratio of blame between these two hollywood divas is is hard for me to access- with my limited data on the subject.

It's very common for people to exaggerate & even intentionally spread lies about their exes after they break up but very few people file lawsuits over it. How many Facebook users file lawsuits because other users like exes & bullies are spreading lies about em? I only hear about celebs filing these types of suits who have waaay too much money to waist on lawyers & legal fees.

If I was a very sucessful celeb & my ex was spreading lies about me to the media, I would not file a suit to get back at her. I'd get back at her by dating/marrying someone very attractive, successful, wholesome, & sweet. I'd have a great partner & make my ex jealous in the process, that's a win/win :wtg:

They remind me of couples who would've been our neighbors when my family lived in a cheap motel. Except they're rich, and their drama is public.
