I watched the film about Crumb last week great guy great drawings. His brother Charles was probably AS I think. Where can I get Crumb comics/cartoons to read?

Just so you know, R. Crumb isn't a flower child, even though he was popular with the alternative 60's. His comix get really gritty and he explores his sexuality quite frankly.

I concur with Sinsboldly. I am fascinated by Robert Crumb but his work is out there and though I found some interesting U Tubes about him and showing his work, they wouldn't be appropriate to post here. But I did find this very interesting, and I think enjoyable, video with him in straw hat playing guitar. He's not a virtuoso but he's not bad. Very strange guy, very very strange guy.

Has anyone here seen 'American Splendor'? It's not about Crumb but it has him in it. It's mostly about Harvey Pekar, who wrote comics but didn't actually draw them.

I remember seeing R. Crumbs work in an an issue of the "Whole Earth Review"
another artist who was involved with the "Whole Earth Catalog" and other such
publications was Jim Woodring his stuff was and is
kind of "out there".

Both "Crumb" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109508/ and "American Splendor" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0305206/ are great films. In the same spirit, one of Terry Zwigoff's other films, "Ghost World" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0162346/ is also worth seeing.
