Judge says “Naaaaah,” to trump’s request for absolute immunity from J6 civil lawsuits:

Another bad day for the orange guy is a good day for everyone else! 8)

I really don't get why Trump even thought he could get "absolute immunity." He certainly has delusions of grandeur!

He has about a chance of getting "absolute immunity" as I do.

Which could all be a part of his lawyers’ long term strategy of setting up an insanity defence.. they’ll say “Look, clearly the man is nuts - he thought he could be granted absolute immunity for the results of his failed coup!”

He would indeed be nuts if he thought that gaggle who ran around the capitol building and then went home for dinner, was going result in an overthrow of the United States.

I expect a "Temporary Insanity" plea due to an adverse (albeit fictional) vaccine reaction.

If you watch the J6 hearings then you’ll learn that that group of goofs was only a separate little sideshow to his other plots to overthrow the US gov’t.

*wonderful bedtime story for ages 4-400. Babies don’t really care that much, but by the time a kid is 4 years old they know right from wrong and just how wrong the orange guy is.

No. Like through an attempted coup via fake electors and trump loyalists installed at many levels of government and public service.

Apparently Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security, and also the Department of Defense... ALL deleted text messages from ~J6. Well, the trump loyalists within them did, anyways. Also heard in a news clip that some of the appointees were illegally appointed by trump according to some judge, too. Sounds like there's going to be some criminal investigations into cover up criming going on in all of these agencies by people who were loyal to wannabe dictator trump instead of to the USA and it's constitution.

At least there are federal crimes that seem fairly obvious that can be laid - something about failure to keep proper records or something along those lines. The penalties for purging records are probably pretty minimal vs. the penalties for doing a coup, though, is my best guess.. so obvi it'd be ideal if text message records were recovered and investigators/judges knew what these people were communicating. If they can't be recovered, I dunno how the law works, but My assumption would be that it's because they were Ultra Damning and thus in a perfect world the legal system would be able to penalize them as such. Maybe they can't without the evidence, but c'moooooon.. it's pretty obvious what they were up to and why they'd delete evidence.

The U.S. government takes tampering with evidence very seriously. A person who is convicted of the crime under federal law may face a prison sentence of not more than 20 years, a fine, or both. (18 U.S.C. § 1519.)

Alex Jones' discount lawyer defending him in the Sandy Hook defamation case "accidentally," gave a complete copy of his cell phone to the prosecution that contained every text he sent/received in the last 2 years. Besides direct evidence proving he lied in court that helped him lose his case, and Millions of dollars, apparently there are texts exchanged with Roger Stone - and who knows who else. The J6 committee requested a copy of that phone data. Not sure if they have it already or not.. but damn, this is gonna be juicy for sure.
