1.My First Summer
2.Gunpowder Milkshake
and
3.Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard
I enjoyed but we might have different tastes in films
The tw's are:1- sui, adoption, death
2-gore and assault, murder and death, alcohol
3-gore, mental illness, drugs, alcohol
Might be interesting?

<=>- The Bad Guys [2022] (see this)
<=>- Everything Everywhere All at Once [2022] (see this) Warning: Very strange!
<=>- The Matrix Resurrections [2021] (see this)

I hope you'll give us feedback on which movies are liked and disliked. It might give additional ideas for suggestions.

i enjoyed Ghostbusters Afterlife as a few have recommended, an easy movie to watch, especially if you liked the earliest ones.

I absolutely loved Dune (2021).

And since I'm an "anything Harry Potter" fan, I also really enojyed The Secrets of Dumbledore.

Candyman (2021 version)

This film used tension instead of graphic violence to make sure this film is worth 90 minutes of your time.

My mom, my NT sister and I enjoyed watching this film
and the three of us had a favorite "kill scene."

Last film I saw in the theatre was one of the Star Wars Movies (Episode 9 i think).
We watched the second Incredible's film in the theatre with family.
My kids like the Marvel movies. Are they recent enough?
We also have liked films based on Agatha Christie books - some of those are kind of recent.
And the Narnia Films (but the first one is by far the best).

Just saw “The Menu”.
Most found it worthy of watching.
I was not totally impressed - felt a bit contrived to me, over the top, and more gore than I can stomach.

Fall (2022) — starring Grace Caroline Currey and Virginia Gardner.

The opening premise — two young women climb to the top of a super-tall abandoned TV tower for the purposes of spreading the ashes of one of their husbands, and they get stuck at the top
