Yes, permanent forms of birth control will be more popular. But they cost money. The poor won't be able to afford it.

My daughter doesn’t want children and can’t get her tubes clipped because the doctors refuse to.They will only do it if you’ve had children.

Are they going to improve collections and liability measures against deadbeat parents to make them accountable too, or is this just about shaming and punishing birth-mothers?

For a long time I wouldn't talk about my baby on WP.
I didn't want to hear that I should be thankful for the loss.
I didn't want to hear that I made the wrong decision as a mother.
I didn't want to be judged like I was pro-life, because I'm not.
I'm extremely pro-choice even if my choice at that time seemed controversial.

The last few years I've had an extremely difficult time with grief.
I didn't get to process it because of shame and societal expectation.
I've been researching a lot about pregnancy and infant loss awareness.

I bet there are many of us on WP who are suffering from miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant / child loss.
I wish there were a thread for it.
Losing a baby under any circumstance shouldn't involve secrecy.
It doesn't mean we aren't real women, feminists, or advocates for civil rights.


I can certainly relate to this. When I thought that I might be pregnant, I was planning on keeping it. At different points of my life, I could’ve went with a different option. I don’t know.

No matter what choice is made, it is still empowering for women in these situations to know that they have a choice when they didn’t have one when they were victimized.

Denying them this right is going to cause secondary wounding for sure.

I had gotten kicked off a discord just for saying one little thing against abortion. :( :( :(

I have a more moderate opinion on the situation. I never said someone should be forced to raise a child they don’t want, just that they can put it up for adoption rather than abort. I also said that I was worried that states won’t make exceptions to their bans(rape, incest, a woman’s life in danger). I’m not right wing and I explained that to them, but they were still having none of it.

I’ve seen a lot of pro-choice memes today and in the past and I understand a lot of them. But at the same time I just don’t think it’s morally proper to choose abortion over adoptions except for the reasons I said earlier. They also made it sound like the adoption agency is terrible. That could just be their experience, Idk.

They metaphorically took turns beating up on me then put a gun to my face and pulled the trigger(kicking me off the discord).
