Grilling year round sounds good

I grill extra on the weekend so the whole family has left over dinners for a few days.

I pretty much don't care about the weather, but the gas grill does have it's limits how cold it can be around where it can't cook effectively. But that's still most weeks in a year around here when I can grill.

I usually build a fire in the yard and wait till there is a nice bed of coals.Plenty of wood,( hickory, oak and a dead apple tree),just no grilling material.

I do like the natural smoke of firewood, just too much work to do it. Back when I lived with my parents I used to grill at least every other night. Now it's just an old habit. The area is more urbanized now, the lot that sold mulch and firewood around here has a dense neighborhood on it now.

I grill anything, chicken, sausages, pork, beef, lamb, shrimp, salmon, shark... Anything, really. I have difficulty digesting red meat though, my dad thinks Alpha-gal (  ) syndrome, but I haven't been bitten by a tick in years. I don't really know how long I've had the problem as we only started eating red meat more recently.

So yeah, honestly, chicken thighs are the perfect meat. Soft, juicy, tastes great, and is easy to digest. Also the cheapest. If meat is part of your regular diet then you won't find anything cheaper anyway. Lots of ways to cook them too, they're versatile.

I try to limit my meat consumption because of high cholesterol and ethical reasons, but I cheat sometimes.I’m sort of an opportunivore, especially if it’s free.
I can’t afford the vegan options either.
Lots of veggies are tasty grilled but sometimes I just want a big juicy steak.

Didn't have any last night. Didn't sleep as well and the mood isn't as bright. Nothing interests me on here today.

Curious effects, I have to say.

Be careful that you don't get addicted to them. Everything in moderation.

Same for me, I was a happy idiot.

Midlife awareness is false wisdom. The very old know the secret to happiness is to be a carefree idiot. Dementia helps with the guilt.

I wasn’t happy, very self destructive at that time.
I’ll be a carefree idiot now with other music choices.I can turn the volume up till the windows rattle since there are no neighbors close enough to complain.
